In 1916, the U.S. Government commissioned a rosary that could be issued to Christians serving in our armed forces. These "GI" rosaries were then carried by soldiers in World War I, and again in World War II.
Today, with interest in sacramentals for spiritual combat continuing to grow, replicas of this century-old rosary are providing the Faithful with a deeper connection to the strength and rugged determination of a bygone era, and most especially to the graces Our Lord wishes to bestow on us by means of His Mother's Immaculate Heart.
This WWI Battle Rosary by Our Lady's Armory is a stunning yet respectful homage to that original Government Issue service rosary, and bears the likenesses of Saint Michael and Saint Benedict, two of the greatest patrons against evil, temptation, and sin; the Miraculous Medal of Our Lady; and the Pardon Crucifix, with special indulgences attached by Pope St. Pius X.
